These guitars sound fabulous, but are a bit thick in tone for my tastes. I cring to even think of selling them, but they are not getting played.
Anyone been here with their TAG's?

Yep. Got rid of all my tags with H's. I do have two with M's, which are big enough for me. The other three have VA's or TV's.
considering you have hot humbuckers, there's lots of room between where you are and single coils. but people do morph between different tones from time to time. i'm on a weaker brighter trend right now. we'll see how far it goes. several years ago we took out the bridge humbuckers on tim pierce's 2 guitars, and he's been very happy with all stacks in them. he did get an atom spec and ct for his humbucking tones though.

Since you are not too keen on selling your geetars, I'm sure Tom could recommend some replacement pickups that would alter your tone to your liking. For single coils I have 2 of the VA5's in my newer Hollow T Classic, and I'm really digging them. If you want to stay with stacks, the new SF's sound great to my ears; not too thick and not super thin either. Some of the new humbucker choices sound like they would take some of the thick middle frequencies out of mix as well.
I made the switch to all singles a few years back. Then, the mini's creeped in and gave me some great options. Everything I like about singles was in the mini's. However, recently I had my Classic T's revised with humbuckers in the neck and a stacked single in the bridge. Really happy with this decision. So, my point - I think our tastes change every few years. Keeps things fresh, I suppose.

Thanks for the response.
Pushing the Sun is a Great tune!
I am considering swapping the SA2's for SF1's.
I love the H2+ in the bridge position.
What are doing your recording with, as far as digital recorders?
I just finished doing an all original soundtrack to promote the Holly Recreational Park DVD.
My bro in law is their treasurer.
We live in Traverse City.
I use a Boss BR 1600.
If you send me a PM, when I get copies of the DVD, I will mail you one.
Thanks again!
