I picked up my first TAG brochure at a NAMM show around '91-'92, IIRC. It was definitely the Kahler Steeler era, in any case. There was a big poster featuring all of the models. In the wood descriptions on the price list, under koa, it referenced your "Ukelele price list". Was that some kind of inside joke?

yes, but one not caught by many. mike, the guy who created our logo, also layed out that catalog. he stuck that in there to see if we were checking his work or maybe just for fun. we thought it was indeed fun, so we left it in.

Some of the finest Koa comes from wood suppliers that do tons of sourcing for Uke making; Koa is one of the primary choices of fine Uke making. No kidding either.

yes and since most of them are i the islands they get first pick. they also have the benefit of being able to use smaller pieces.
