As we all know things change, circumstances or finances sometimes dictate that we end up selling some of our precious Andys. I thought I'd start a thread with a couple of the ones I really miss with hopes the new owner might chime in and give a health report. :D

Reconnect with your old Anderson guitars here!

I really miss this one, it was my first one. My playing changed and I just couldnt get into the Floyd anymore. I should have had it blocked, I really miss it:

This one was also special. An unfortunate personal situation caused me to sell it. Really loved it.

I hope they both are bringing their new owners inspiration and joy. They've been gone many years now. :(

I sold two of them, and one of them I really regret selling. But sometimes gotta do what we gotta do...

Not a very good photo I am afraid. I have moved many on but this one I bitterly regret parting with.

My former number 1 - 7-14-91A. Lives in Russia now. Replaced with my current number 1, 3-28-07A, Hollow Cobra S.

Lacewood Grand Am, solid Pao Ferro neck (http://www.me.com/gallery/#100040/Canon-20--20Canon-20EOS-20DIGITAL-20REBEL-20XT-20-_2)

I sort of miss it, but the TAG's with the A-wedgie and SS frets are far superior in my estimation, so, I'm looking for something like my old girl, but with new "upgrades".

This was my first TAG. I bought it second hand from a member here. I really liked this one, though it wasn't me. I had to sell it a couple of years ago when money was tight. Ended up selling to guy in Korea, so doubt we will see it here again. I think that was about a week before Tom announced he was closing shop and prices went through the roof on used Andersons.:(

The good news is I just got my new Classic last month. Special ordered just the way I wanted it.

These threads make me sad! :( I've owned a bunch of Andersons throughout the years and in the quest to try other stuff, I've managed to sell all of them off. Interestingly enough, I did not miss them until I went to Dan's Guitars a couple of months ago and played a brand new Classic. It was so resonant, so easy to play (the ss frets were soooooo nice), and had so much tone! Now I know why I get so frustrated with my les pauls-they go out of tune a little bit too easy, they never seem to be in tune, I'm constantly adjusting the truss rod because the neck moves so much, and my lightest les paul, a R9weighs almost 9lbs. I can't tell you guys what a revelation it was to pick up that classic! I don't visit this board this much because I don't own any Andersons, but I think the main reason I don't come here too much is that it makes me too sad to know how many great Anderson guitars that I've let go!

a friendly warning then, don't play a CT. it might make you even sadder.

Warning well-taken!! :p There is actually a big deterrent-My wife and I have an agreement-about a year ago, I was playing one of my les pauls and raving about it. She said, "that's what you say about all the guitars that you've owned over the years." I told her, "nah, I'm serious this time, I'll only buy les pauls from now on." So, her response was that if I buy any other guitar besides a les paul, she gets to take a trip to Vegas with her mom and sister for a week and I have to take care of the kids at home. For the past couple of months since I played that Classic at Dan's, I've been checking out a lot of Andersons on the internet and my wife keeps telling me, "c'mon buy an Anderson, I want my trip!!" I could sneak in a CT and pretend that the CT is a LP, but my wife definitely knows the difference between a gibson and an Anderson.

maybe you could paste a cardboard gibson headstock on the ct?

I think that would be totally worth it. A carve top? Heck yes.

Sam, I think that this one almost made its way out to you but at the same time you were planning your itinerary and budget for your So Cal adventure
and made the prudent decision to hold off?

If memory serves me, it eventually made its way back to SoCal/Wescott Guitar Repair for custom set up for a happy owner in Lithuania?

If you need any tips on how to "slip" a new Atom Ct into the house without being noticed, I'm your guy!! LOL

Put it in your LP's Gibby case.......
Bring it home in the dead of night..........
If all else fails, lie.............

You get the picture.

One of my old Andersons, as it turns out, wound up in the hands of a guy that I am really not fond of at all. I never bonded with the guitar but I hear he has big time. which is cool.

The 2 others I have sold went to people I dont know

I bought one used this summer. A T with TV's and a VA in the middle. didn't bond with it, so I traded it for a DT locally. Nice guitar and I was digging it, but traded it for a 68SFDR. I know the DT was traded again. Don't know where the T went off too, but I do believe the guy who had it traded or sold it.
Both traders I dealt with became friends and one came to one of my jams.

Really the only one I miss was the the one that was the most plain. An Alder Butterscotch straight up maple neck 1 5/8 T Classic with TV 1 and TV3. Nothing special to look at. Great player.
