I am tired of the universal ear phones and I want to get some custom fit ones. I know that some of you on this forum have talked in the past about LiveWires and I want to know how you still feel about them.
thanks

Absolutely I got mine after Suriel recommended them have been using them for 2 months and no problems. Had UE Pro 5's before and these blow them away. My only critique would be it need a little more bass for live playing, but with the bass cab on stage at church I feel what I need. Here is a review from another forum about them also.

I picked up on a set after I saw Suriel's post, been having them about a year and love 'em.
I just order a backup, like in September and don't have them yet. I can't get in contact with John.
Suriel, have you spoken with him lately?
Oh, and where are you going in Asia, Singapore perhaps?

I gotta say that my LiveWires have really bit the dust lately. The right side low-end driver stopped working, and the case fell apart on me in the middle of tour. I filled out the service request form on their website and emailed them describing my problems, and they have ignored me. There are a few guys I know in town who dig them, but most have had problems like mine and have opted to shell out more $$ for a higher-quality set of monitors from a different company. Not trying to spread bad vibes about them; just thought that anyone considering a set should be informed.

I contacted Livewires yesterday and found out that they opened a new manufacturing company right down the road from my house.
Since they are now close and easy to get I think I will give them a try. I don't travel or play outside of church much anymore so I don't think I will have to worry much about their durability.

I did purchase some Livewires two years ago and we disappointed right from the start in the quality of the sound, to me they have very little base with a lot of mid and highs. I have had not trouble with them falling apart and I do use them every weekend. I have finally gotten sick of the sound from them and decided it was time to get a different set. After searching the net and reading reviews I found that someone had trouble with a high end set of Ultimate Ears being thin sounded because the fit was not good, which made me wonder if that is what is wrong with my Livewires. I plugged my Livewires into and Ipod and with some music playing I moved the IEMs around in my ears, pushing them in a little bit more, Bingo! they totally came alive with deep bass.
I mailed Livewires support and a couple hours later they actually called me on my phone instead of emailing me. The guy I talked to told me to bring them in and they will make them right, even if it means making new ones, now that is great customer support. He said if the IEMs do not make a tight seal they will not produce the lower frequencies.
So all these years the reason why I had such poor sound was from IEMs that were just a tad too loose.

I was reading that last post and sat there totally confused. Until I realised you weren't talking the Duncan Livewires:   :) :D
