I'm considering putting some TA, Fralin or Lollar P-90's in my Atom - if they'll fit without any other modification. The mini-hums are okay, but I don't think they're bringing out the best in this guitar. Sorry if this has been covered. - Ed

The M's are thinner in width than P-90's, so you'd have to route the body to make it work.

No routing would be needed.

The bridge p/u AND route on the guitar is a little wider from E to E but a P-90 will work in there with a little more 'extra' space than the neck p/u route.

You'll have to have the P-90 installed (mounted) properly though since it has a different mounting layout than the Anderson M.

the p90's are bigger, routing would be required.

I'm going to keep her stock and enjoy her just the way she was born. - Ed

Tom makes some of the best pickups that I have heard and I appreciate him in trying to make them better. If the Ms in your Atom are not doing it for you, then just talk to Tom or Roy and tell them what you want and I am sure that they can wind a set of Ms to fit your taste, i.e., a newer set of Ms. I am very happy with the M1s in my Cobra S.

Whoops.. I guess I was thinking backwards again.. M's will fit in a P-90 route but not the other way... The way you were asking. Sorry guys.

didn't someone on this forum have custom p-90s made for his Atom that would fit without any wood working. Gary Mct ?

it was gary, but they weren't really p90 style construction. they were strat style pickups.
