Any suggestions on how to keep the trem arm still or in place better? The older arms you could screw in and use a spring to keep a bit of tension on them, the new ones, while easier to install, tend to rock pop out if you are a dancing monkey like me:D

The new ones have an adjustment for this under the bridge plate. Push the trem arm all the way down to the body so you can see it. It's an allen screw. Tighten it down a bit to clamp down around the arm, too tight makes it tough to install and remove the arm.

Shaun,

Are talking about the "pop-in" trem arms? If you are there is a small set screw in the trem body which sits against the ttrem arm when it is installed. Pop-in the trem arm and tighten the set screw a bit. The set screw is a bit of a pain to get at. You need you lift the trem of the body, look at the exposed part of the trem block and you will set the set screw.

Do I have to remove the whole bridge? In other words, take the springs off..etc.? i don't think I understood..

No, just put the arm in and push it all the way down toward the pickups, strings floppy. Look underneath between the bridge bottom and the guitar body. On the underside of the bridge where the arm comes through you should see a small set screw with an allen head. Tighten that a little.

No problem! Honestly, I absolutely hated the feel of the new bridge until I figured this out. It makes a big difference.

Hi there, new guy here. Can anyone tell me the size of this set-screw? My one seems to be missing.
Great forum btw.
