Guys,
Am I seeing things or are the Drop Top bodies bigger than the Cobra S bodies? Kind of looks that way in pictures. Then again, I have bad eyes.

I was wanting to know the same thing? Im thinking of ordering a cobra s.
Also, wanting to know if the cobras knob placement is identical to the classic?
they are exactly the same size. it's an optical delusion.
the cobra neck is about a1/2" shorter so that the 22nd fret is in the same place on both. the cobra bride is moved forward about 1/4". the controls are a little different. the vol is closer to the neck but in the same relative position to the bridge. on the cobra the 5 way is tucked a bit further back to get it out of the way some.

Awesome.
Thanks for the info Tom. I'm looking forward to ordering my Cobra S. (In a cool, slightly customized Translucent Purple to Black Burst if y'all can accomodate such an order.:D )

LearnedHand,
Your Cobra S is actually the Anderson I'm basing mine off of.:D
I'm hoping to go with a very similar shade of Purple, perhaps just a tad more pink/red and have it burst to black instead of a bluer shade of purple all atop a nice quilt top. Along with a Pau Ferro board, black hardware, H/H pickups, fixed bridge, and no binding.
The pic you posted is VERY close to how I'd like mine to look. At least on my monitor. Slightly lighter than the pics on the Anderson homepage.

Here's a Drop Top and a Cobra S side by side. Oh, and any excuse to post a picture of a purple guitar is good enough for me. :D
