This one looks odd to me (http://cgi.ebay.com/TOM-ANDERSON-HOLLOW-CLASSIC-ELECTRIC-GUITAR_W0QQitemZ350100018178QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em350100018178&_trkparms=72%3A1205|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A13 18&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14). You cannot see the headstock and the pic quality is terrible.
Also that spec sheet looks all wrong. Is that hand written one normal for the era?

Well, he'll never sell it at that price anyway.

The caligraphy on the spec sheet is about right, I believe. It pre-dates Tom's expertise with a computer. I just posted questions to the seller requesting better photos and a question about the price.
Maybe, just maybe, he's hoping that our current Administration will be buying guitars at prices adjusted for inflation since 1995. $700 billion is a lot of money to play with if you're a TAG owner wanna be!
Since Alabama is far, far away from here, maybe we're seeing an exchange rate situation.
Nighty night.

good night, that's a lot of money. I especially love the $500 markup since the spec sheet is written by hand- "no cheapie newfangled computer-generated spec sheet!" That kind of old-world craftsmanship is hard to find these days.
ah, well...

I like how positively this seller is thinking in terms of setting up his price to high. We need more enthusiasm and optimism in this world :D

i threw a question at him about the price and this was his response a couple of days ago.
"I really didn't know the value of this item,so I just put a price on it.As
soon as I determine the correct price,I'll either reduce it or pull
it.Thanks for your input.

It isnt hard to figure out a price...just look at completed items.
looks like a legit guitar and spec sheet, just a silly price.

Here's the response from the seller:
"Hey,I'm going to have to borrow a camera as several people have asked for better pics.As for the price.Did you ever need to sell something but didn't reall want to? I thought if I could get a good price it would be easier to part with, but I'm just going to pull it until I get a good appraisal. Thanks for your input,George"
and my response...
"Hi, George. Thanks for the reply. I totally understand your not wanting to sell. The combination of poor pics and high price didn't get you much traction. You might be able to get $1800-$2300 based on current selling prices on eBay. I suggest you visit the Tom Anderson Guitar Forum for information and potential buyers who appreciate the value of these guitars. There's been a bit of discussion there about your auction! Best regards, Lofton"
