Many years ago I switched the factory installed H2+ bridge in my basswood/maple top Drop Top for a H1+. The purpose was to get more string definition and I've been very pleased with it for many years. Lately though I've been thinking about moving up to the H2+ again to get some more gain but I'm afraid to loose string defintion.

Is there any one out there that has done side by side comparisions and have some suggestions?

that's a pretty big jump. you might want to try an H2.

The biggest problem with all of these pickups is that they ALL sound great. :D My current absolute favourite is the HO1+ in my HCS. But, then I pick up my DT with the H3, and all of a sudden that's my favourite pickup. ;)

+1 when it comes to the H01+ I've been using it for years and love the way it sounds. It also sounds great when you split it. Goes great with SF's as well. You can put some milk on it and goes great in a bowl of cereal too!.... The possibilities are endless......O.K. I'm getting silly!!!!

I think we need some new Smilies!!
