Primavera

Can anyone tell me about Pimavera (used on an Anderson Classic) ?
Weight, tones ?

here's my take. if ash and mahogany had babies...it has the good traits of both, defined bottom, snappy top(compared to mahogany) yet still has a full middle. weight wise it's like light mahogany and medium alder.

If I wanted to be able to get a funky, bright rhythm sound out of an Atom, would I be better served by a solid Primavera body, or Mahogany with a Maple top? Or are they pretty close to each other in that respect?

I was reading about Primavera on a woodworking site and the notes about the wood were that it was very soft and easy to carve. I try to be good to my guitars - the mahogany Crowdster I've had for a year is still pristine, but my 3 year old alder Strat has a couple dents I don't remember putting in it. Are Primavera guitars particularly easy to dent?

i'd say those 2 are pretty close tonally. density is pretty close to light weight mahogany too. i wouldn't be concerned about damage. i think electric guitars by nature just get handled rougher.

I have a Cobra Special S with M1, M1 M2 made of primavera (body and neck). It is a nice sound. My cobra can sound very strart-like, but, get other unique sounds only M's can get. l like it!

I understand the ash-mahogany analogy. Just curious how primavera would compare against alder?

firmer low end for sure, maybe a bit less mid.
