? non-trem to trem on cobra

I've got an 03 cobra non-trem, and i find myself reaching for the arm thats not there.My other andys all have trems. Is swaping to a trem something that can be done easily?

easily? not really. aside from some fairly serious routing, which is doable, here are the snags.
the non trem cobras prior to '06 have some neck angle to them, so if you were to change, the saddles would be cranked up pretty high. usually not the best for keeping a trem in tune.
the front mounting screw hole will probably be visible when the trem is installed.
we don't do that mod here, but it can be done. ideally if someone could re rout the pocket to take some of the angle out that would be best. that is fairly delicate work.
obviously this will also change the sound of the guitar, so if you love the way it sounds now, prepair for a change.
the resale market in general seems to be slow right now so it's a buyers market. if you could afford it it might be a good time to buy another and decide which you like best.
