On week ends, I like to play the guitar - I know, this one really comes as a shocker to this crowd ;)

But seriously, I do. The reasoning being that playing the guitar allows me to let go of all the stress I accumulated in the past week of work.

Traditionally, my wife and three kids are home, and I carve out some time between 1300 and 1500hrs to play downstairs in the mojocave.

However, because I am a nice guy, I limit the decibel volume of my sonic assaults.

Wouldn't you know it, this past Sunday, my wife took our three kids to her sister's house to give me the ability to relax after a pretty crazy week at work (www.infosecurus.com).

Wouldn't you know it, on Friday, I received a damn attenuator (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4HoiBOBdGQ).

In other words, on the one week end I could really turn up the volume until my back teeth fell out, I was busy tweaking a damn power soak :D

you didn't have to use the attenuator;)
having used them for a while now i'm really getting used to what they do and i'm liking it. i played my amp without it and i actually liked the way it sounded with it better, at a low setting.

You're correct, I didn't have to, hence the irony! And believe me, I did indulge in some loudness over the week end. It's just that I was dying to play with my new toy, you know :)
