Well I'm kinda embareassed to admit this, but the only guitar I own is a Hollow Cobra S  So I've been thinking of ordering a new Anderson :D The problem is I don't know what to get that would compliment the things my Cobra S does, and as we all know the Cobra S does ALOT of things well. I play Blues & Blues/Rock through a DRRI. I really like the shorter scale of my Cobra S, but the Drop Tops are interesting also. Here are some of the Andersons I'm thinking of going with.Any more suggestions would be great.

Thanks.
Chuck.

Hollow Cobra S with rosewood neck & 3 m's or 3 p90's
Hollow Droptop classic with braz. rosewood fret board & 3m's
Atom CT with pickups undecided
Hollow t of some type

Guitar will come with 1 11/16 nut, 60's vibe neck & heavey frets.

Lots of Blues players are Strat players. The HDTC with M's, (OK, I have that guitar and am partial to it), would be a good blues guitar.

My opinion anyway. Pretty much all those would be perfect.

I agree with dannopelli, the hdtc with 3 m's would bring a nice ballance

If your HCS has humbuckers then I say you can't go wrong with a nice classic. Straight up!
The two would cover all worlds of tone......

The more I think about this I believe I would change my earlier opinion and agree with John.

I have one now, and another on the way. VA2 VA2r VA3 in an Alder 3SB with Maple Fretboard and the one on the way is VA5 VA5R VA5+ in hollow alder with Ash Trans Blonde top and Rosewood fretboard.

They cover a lot of ground, have vintage sounds, and if you do not mind the SC hum, which I don't, they really are a"Classic" look. Real working-man looking. Right for blues.

I have to say these guys all have great ideas, and know thier stuff. Not meaning to muddy the waters any more......... but I have a hollow cobra with P 90's that really shines in the blues setting. Slide through the bridge pu is amazing. Yes P 90's hum but I don't mind it and I imagine the same guitar with M's would garner similar results.

Good luck in your quest

My Hollow Cobra S has an HO1- & HO2 for pickups. I also really dig the shorter scale. I've been through soooo many traditional strats and never really bonded with any of them,BUT I have never played an Anderson 25.5 scale guitar. My HCS does so many things really well, that when I gig I never feel like I'm missing something by not having a second guitar. So my next Anderson can definately be a 'FUN' type of guitar not a guitar that has to be a certain way for certain type of gigs. That being said I think I'm leaning towards another HCS with 3 p90's. but all the suggestions are great so keep them coming. Allthough a old school type classic would be very cool:rolleyes:

a while back (maybe 2 years) there was a great deal of love been spread around for a Cobra w/ 3 P90's. The guys were all talking about how "stratty" it could be if it wanted- but it was still really versatile. I kinda vowed during that time that if I won the lottery, I'd have to get a Sweet n' Sour Red one with cream colored P90's.

Actually, you might still be able to see that guitar in the video clips section of the Bogner Amplification site.

I had a Hollow Cobra S with M, M, H2 and my workhorse DTC in alder/flame maple with SA1, SA1r, H2+. I found that I liked the strattier tones of my DTC and wanted the Cobra S to be more "Les Paul-like" The Cobra S was a bit too similar so I traded it for a Hollow Cobra with a pair of buckers. Better, but I think I still need to get more different so I'm thinking of going with a solid Cobra or Atom. You may find that another Hollow Cobra S is too similar to your current guitar and might want to look at the DTC with VA's.
