Hello All,

Well, I've found myself with a fair stable of gear, mostly vintage guitars and amps. I do have more modern guitars and amps as well.

I'd decided that I was NOT going to purchase any more new guitars, as I really enjoy the old ones. In fact, I've begun selling off select newer guitars, again in favor of keeping my primary interest in vintage guitars. Right??

Then, I played this Koa Hollow Drop Top.

I'd heard about Andersons for quite some time, but never really had the opportunity to lay my hands on one. Once I felt that neck, and the fret work.............It was all over for me!!

Thanks to Jack Gretz...I'm glad I can count you as a friend.
Thanks to Eliot, who told me about Andersons.
And, thank you so much to Tom, for MAKING ME BREAK MY PROMISE!! :)

So, I continue to sell some of my newer guitars. After all, I'm going to have to make room for that custom Atom CT that Roy and I are discussing.......

Here's the Koa HDT;

Congrats on the koa stunner!
I like to think of it as guitar "adoption" rather than buying. :D

Congrats on the Koa! The vertical grain/ 3D figure of the
koa makes it look like the top is a carved top!

Welcome aboard!!! And congrats on a stunning guitar! I love absolutely everything about that one.

Where are you from in PA? I was raised a rural PA guy myself.

Hey Rupe,

I live about 40 minutes drive north of Allentown....in the middle of nowhere!!

Where'd you grow up?

The other side of the state, about 75 miles north of Pittsburgh near a town called Clarion. I went to school at Penn State and worked at/managed a music store there for most of the 90's. Spent the early 90's in Philly gigging there and NYC.

I'm not too far from you in St. Marys; I'm a early 70s PSU graduate...

This is sounding like a PSU reunion!! My oldest son just finished his third year at PSU in State College. I did my residency at PSU School of Medicine at Hershey.

Maybe we should have a PSU Anderson Alumni Association??? :D

Did you manage the music store on Beaver, or the one on Atherton??

Atherton...George's House of Music. It went out of business about a year after I left.

I went up to Magdon intending to just play a couple of Andersons, and mostly visit with Jack. As soon as I touched it, I knew it was a special guitar. And, well, IT IS PURDY!!! :)
