View Full Version : Powerblend wired wrongly for Anderson guitars?
Managed to purchase a brand new Fishman Powerblend today, to use with an Anderson Hollow Drop Top. Fishman includes a stereo cable, looks to be pretty high quality. However it sends the Anderson's piezo signal to the Powerblend's magnetics output, and the Anderson's magnetics to the Powerblend's piezo output. Is this something all who have used the Powerblend with an Anderson have had to fix, i.e. re-soldering the leads at one end of the stereo cable?

never seen one do that.
when you plug in a mono cord are you getting mags? if so, the guitar is right and they must have crossed up the stereo cable.
A mono plug from the HDT stereo out = piezo signal.
Maybe the guy I got the guitar from 2nd hand changed it?
Serial number 06-28-99A.
yes, sounds like the guitar was changed.
i'd reverse the guitar so you could plug in a mono cord for electric only. they may have had an x bridge guitar and wanted it to work the same way.
Momentarily a lot easier to reverse the plug, which I've done. I'll get to the guitar later on.
