The new Koa C+ arrived last week, I used it this weekend and I'm officially "smitten"
Here she is:

And it sounds 10 fold BETTER than it looks
Tom,
I now understand what the "big deal" is.
This thing plugged directly into my Genz Benz Shen Pro sounds incredible...
It really doesn't make sense how good this thing sounds:confused:
Thanks guys...
This is my "holy grail" of guitars and I didn't even know it existed 6 months ago!

WOW! What a beauty!
Thanks....
I have a hard time putting her away and closing the case...
I actually miss playing this guitar when I'm doing something else.
That hasn't happened for me in a long time. This baby, with my GB amp and my TC G-major have renewed my fire for guitar... (Just wait until I get my sansamp psa1.1 for the electric side... it's gonna be ON!)

Awesome guitar! I feel the same way about both my TAG guitars - I miss them whenever I'm off doing something else. ;)

VERY nice!
The good news is, that special feeling doesn't wear off over time. At least not in a year and a half as far as I know at this point.
It's a unique and special instrument

Yup, it does...
I told you it was "Special" ;)
The guitar was actually slated to be completed NEXT month, but I got lucky and it got ahead of schedule...
They were nice enough to keep my serial number dated for my Anniversary and put my "S" on there even though it was completed in April.
Just one of the MANY differences you might encounter when buying a TOP NOTCH piece Art from a TOP NOTCH company!
This definitely ain't no "Guitar Center" guitar (and yes, that IS a poke at the Taylor T5 and all of it's stable mates)
This whole experience has exceeded my expectations from day one and I have a feeling it will continue to do so for years to come.
So much so that I have already decided that I will NOT buy another guitar until I can get my hands on that "Special" Atom to pair up with this baby...(that's saying a LOT for me:p )
Koa hollow Atom with Chrome Bigsby anyone?:D

Congrats Shannon! It must be nice to finally have your C+ to play. You've been talking about it for a while now and were probably the most active guy on the boards who didn't have an Anderson! ;) That C+ is beautiful, love the Koa! Now all it needs is a certain signature... :D

Thanks man,
Yeah, I like to stay active in the forums when it's a topic I enjoy. I fell in love with the Anderson "culture" before I even had the Guitar, but now I know WHY the guitars and the company are so special.
This thing is utterly amazing. I'm gonna be a "lifer" here. As far as I'm concerned, I'll always have at least one Andy...
As far as the "sig" goes....2 weeks, my friend, 2 weeks.
I'm supposed to meet Dave at Agape Festival in Greenville, IL this year to get his "john hancock" on the Crowdy and hopefully a few "pointers" as well.:D
At least that's the plan, but you know how it can get at big events... (I assume) I'm sure he'll be covered up in fans when he's not on stage, so hopefully we'll have time to hook up for at least a few minutes.

Dave got off the bus when he saw mine and said "hey a Crowdster...just like mine!". He is pretty much the man...sorry Tom:rolleyes:
Congrats Shannon! I'm thrilled to hear your enthusiasm. Enjoy!

Koa topped Andersons are absolutely gorgeous! Especially yours. I try to avoid these threads, because I get serious GAS that doesn't fit well with my bank account. ;)

I know what you mean... Financially, this one was definitely a stretch for me. In fact, I sold a car to gather the funds for it, but after only a week of playing it, I have absolutely NO buyers remorse whatsoever:D
AND I have already decided that if I can get my hands on a Koa topped Hollow Atom (or hollow atom CT if that is ever going to happen) Then I'll find something else to sell :p

I also have a C+ and was looking to upgrade my acoustic amp (Roland AC-60) to a Genz Benz Shen Pro. What do you think about your Shen now, a few months later?
Also, can the Shen handle the electric side of the guitar as well?

Busta,
I had the Shen Pro. Great amp. However, my recommendation would be for you to take the money + some more and get the Bose Model II system. There's my 2 cents. PM me if you have questions. My duo partner Joe would also recommend this and he is a Crowdster fanatic.

Busta, now that I've had the combination of the Crowdy and my shen for a while I have to honestly say that I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING.
This guitar through that amp on stage is incredible and the built in DI on the back makes running to the house system simple.
You asked about the electric side and here's what I do...
I have sansamp psa1 preamp that I run directly into from the electric pickup. I have a TC electronics G-major in the effects loop for the sansamp and I run the sansamp output to Channel 2 of my Benz... I can mix my guitar sounds RIGHT THERE at my amp and then the DI sends the mixed sound to the main board.
The sound is incredible... you'd really have to hear it to believe it. (research the sansamp psa1 and the g-major and you'll see why)
Obviously, it's a great on stage monitor in this setup, but it would be MORE than enough to use as a main PA in a small venue if you wanted to run both guitars to one channel and your mic to the other side.
Dude, for the money, there's nothing that can touch it in my opinion...
The bose (sorry earthworm) is overpriced like everything else Bose sells and more than you really need to spend unless you are making "good" money on a regular basis with the rig... and even then, I'd rather have my setup (including the sansamp and G-major) and an extra grand or so in my pocket... but that's just my opinion.
