I'm madly in love with my drop top. However I've been thinking that a Cobra S might suit me a little better. My fingers are short and the shorter scale of the Cobra may be more comfortable for me.
From what I understand the Cobras have a thicker midrange too which sounds appealing.
Is there anyone out there that has both and can you describe the playability from one guitar to the other?

Different neck shapes, scale lengths and neck materials.
The Cobra S has an overall thicker sound...not talking Les Paul here but thicker. It is all that mahogany in the guitar that does it. A friend of mine has a nice Cobra S and it is a killer guitar.
When I was playing out, a Hollow Cobra just cut through the mix like no other guitar. My Cobra cut through as well but the hollow seemed to have more clarity.

It really is not that simple as you have to factor in fret size, neck shape and nut width. I currently have four Andy's a HCS, HTC, DTC and Classic. I have been through ten different Anderson's until I settled on the four I now have. I can tell you without equivocation, (can you say that here?) that all the Andy's I have are easier to play than all the electrics I have. The four Andy's I have all have different necks. And I have 19 electric guitars.
So don't worry about ease of playing. They all play easy. And my Cobra S with three M's gets some really nice "Strat" type sounds when needed.
So if you want a really ballsy thick sounding S bodied guitar by all means get a Cobra S. You'll love it.

Thanks. I wouldn't mind a little more ballsy midrange tone.
