Here's a question for the Crowdster owners. Do any of you use open tunings or lowered tunings for example DADGAD, open G, or lowering the entire pitch a whole step.
How does the neck and string spacing feel for fingerstyle playing?
Thanks

I know David Crowder has two...one for standard tuning and another for his alternate tunings. I think he likes his;) Hmmm...fingersyle it does pretty good but I'm a strummer mostly.

I perform a lot of material in open tunings including: open G, DADF#AD, DADGAD, Drop D, Double Drop D, and open C. I also do about half of my material a whole step down.

I find the Crowdster handles this effortlessly. Some of my other guitars sound funny tuned down a whole step. The Crowdster handles it fine.

I play a lot of fingerstyle and find the spacing to be fine. No issues at all for me.

Thanks for the remarks, I afraid that I'm going to have to find room in my house for a new guitar.

they don't take up much space at all.

they don't take up much space at all.

And they seem to multiply. :)

I don't use alt tunings at all, because I want to go from song to song in my worship sets, but I do fingerstyle playing on my C+ all the time, no problem. In fact, imho, the Crowdster sounds better fingerstyle than with a pick. And it sounds real good with a pick!

Hard to believe how fast this worked out. I am now the proud owner of a C+, I'll try to post a couple of pics. Can't wait to play the guitar on a job, next gig is on the 12th of April, I'll post my thoughts after that.

Congrats on a beautiful guitar. It looks nice next to the other one, too. I just spent the evening at a gig playing my C+. I'm getting to the place where I don't even want to play my new Martin OMC Aura. The Crowdster + is such a joy. Oh, and you should have seen the drunk lady last night gushing about my guitar.

Enjoy and post a review.

Now figuring out how to pay for it is another thing... :D

teleplucker.

You have excellent taste in colors and wood.

Here is, apparently, that guitar's sister.

you can't see it in his not-so-well-color-balanced photo, but I think our guitars basically look the same.

Thanks for the comments, The Bigsby on the Atom is a lot of fun and it stays in tune. The color on is C+ was probably not my first choice, I really like the Desert Sunset sunburst but the deal on the natural was too sweet to pass up. It is a beautiful guitar.

The neck on the C+ feels great, a little thicker and rounder than the Atom, makes it feel like a real acoustic guitar, it actually feels a lot like a 50's Gibson neck. I'm very happy with it.
