I just posted a clip from a gig last summer if anyone is interested in what two Crowdster Plus guitars sound like in a real world context (e.g. Ace Hardware parking lot :) ). This clip is just the acoustic side of the instruments--no electric pickup.

Sweet sounds. Thanks for the visual to go with the sound sample as well.

I noticed the same thing. Either that or he was trying to be aloof.

You'd be bored too if you had to play with me week in and week out. ;)
I assure you, he wasn't bored. Just very relaxed!

I should also mention, in fairness to my partner, that his leg is crossed that way, not because he is bored, but because it is a wooden leg and he has to have it hooked it up over the top of his other leg for leverage. His foot taps seemingly in time because of a spring at the ankle. Kind of like a bobble head only for the foot.

Awkward silence...

Great story, but my B.S. alarm is going off loud and clear:p

That's the first time I've heard a Crowdster. Awesome and thanks for sharing (and increasing my GAS).

LOL!!! You guys are too much! I was thinking I have done some weird gigs but never played at a hardware store.......but it makes sence for guys with wooden legs in case they loose a screw or something.....maybe Tom could get him a quilted maple top with a custom color for his leg !:D :D
Sounds great !!

This brings up a good point. Perhaps the resonant qualities of the leg are conflicting with the music and the part where he was looking around and we thought he was bored he was actually wondering where that annoying sound was coming from. Then in a moment of realization he knew it must be the aforementioned appendage causing the disturbance at which time he uncrosses his leg thus eliminating said disturbance and is able to complete the gig unincumbered.
Tom this definitely warrants a custom leg job. ;)

I hear Brazilian rosewood is really good for that purpose--although likely too expensive.

I've built acoustics for both of my brothers in law. They're good players. Their guitars sound good. Which makes me feel good (I don't play).
Watching this video, though, I wish I could talk them into buying Crowdsters.
Awesome instruments. I suspect that, wooden leg and all, these guitars have an effect on musicians that takes them to a whole new level of performance and enjoyment of their performance abilities.
Thank you!
