what's an early 90's ac30 top boost worth? i've got one of the early reissues that marshall made with the blue alnico speakers in mint condition. it's been sitting for years and a friend is interested in it. just need to know what a fair price is. thanks.

my best guess would be $1100-1400 for a Korg-made Vox AC30. I had a Rose-Morris reissue from '90 and it fetched about $1000 a couple of years ago but mine had greenbacks. The blues definitely bring it up above the $1000 mark, probably around $1200? Anyone else?

That was my guess but I didn't want to look like an idiot if I was wrong. Musicgoround has one right now for 999 I think. 90's with blue.

I'd say 1400-1600 depending on condition.

Trust me- if anyone would know, it's MV. This guy is a walking, talking swirling vortex of GAS. I'd trust that he's owned one of everything.

yes. everything. all of it. ...maybe even two of everything...

well then, here's a question for mv. what amps have the best master volume?
no, 2 questions, have you tried the fargen miniplex II(i'll need to spend whatever i get for the vox on something:o ).

I guess it depends on what kind of tone you are going after. I recently picked up a Budda Super Drive 18. After owning scores of amps from every manufacturer including Fagen (but not the miniplex II) I honestly think it is one of the best amps I have ever owned. MV works great, the OD channel is as good as the clean channel (which is stellar). It has an fx loop if you swing that way and since I predominantly play in church venues it has the added bonus of testing the pharasudical waters.......

Q: "How can you as a christian play an amp that says budda?"

A: "ummm...I am only using this one until the Jesus amp comes out..."

Oh I forgot to mention.

It weighs 27 pounds and is a 1x12 combo that I got used for 825.00

I can take my TAG tele, pedaltrain 2 and amp all in one trip!

Joe,
i sold you a Texas Tele in a Carl's Jr. parking lot. I missed it so much I had to buy another...

I hope all is well.

MY buddy that plays at Bel Air Pres is still using it. He has worn off a good part of the finish and loves it to death.

I recently picked up a new Anderson Tele in a trade with a music shop. I hadn't played an Anderson since the neck joint had changed.... I can't put it down.

It has blown me away. I have a guitar on order with another builder and I can't wait until it is done so I can sell it and get another Anderson.

:)

the best sounding Vox i've ever played was an early '90s TB reissue with greenbacks in Newfoundland. the venue was large enough that i could crank the thing and run it at about 3 o'clock. holy. crap. that amp still haunts my dreams. wish i had the $$ for one...
