Hey guys. We recorded our band on video again recently and had a 16 year old phenom named Chelsie Boyd singing with us. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Just excellent! It reminds me of when I was directing music at a church in PA, and someone came and said, "hey, you have to audition this drummer. I think he's only like 22 or something, but the kid can play." So we auditioned him, and I said to our senior pastor "This is one of the best drummers overall, and certainly the best 22 year old drummer that I've ever heard, and I've played with a lot of great musicians!" So after the audition, I went to the kid and said, "Wow, you're only 22?" He said, "No, I'm 15." Wow. Serious talent, and this girl has it too. Great stuff. It's one of those situations where she's obviously got tons of talent, so you have to find a balance between encouraging her yet not letting it go to her head and missing what it's really about. But hang on to her for sure...

She makes a big impression for a girl her size!
Playing and mix sounded great too.

Thanks y'all. I wish I could "keep her" but she was a guest with us that day and does not attend our church regularly. She travels around and sings. Thanks for the encouragement.

Awesome. You guys sound great. We do that song periodically as well. Except we are down to three pc now and have to be a bit more selective in what we do. My son is playing with the Christ for the Nations worship band now. If you get a chance look up CFNI blue team. BTW if you do, thats my Tele he's playing. He asked for the Anderson (yeah right).

Really enjoyed the video - really nice vocals and the band sounded great. Do you happen to know what amplifier the Les Paul player was using?

Good work.
I think we'll do that song in the next few weeks...
Now, If I can only get her to "visit" my church, we'll be set:p

I've been friends and worked with a girl who has that kind of talent, and it's a rare and beautifull gift for sure. I hope she listens to God's calling for her life, and with a gift like that, He'll take her very very far. Hearing people like that makes me wonder f I'm barking up the wrong tree,

Don't forget the parable of the talents, man..
Give ALL that you have and use it for His Glory and don't worry about whether your gifts are more, less or the same as the talents he gave someone else...;)
It's not whatcha got... it's how ya use it:D
Course, the more ya got, the more you can use:eek: Just kidding:p
Johnny B, sounded very nice, and well done. Your guest had an incredible voice.

Wow. Thanks for all the great encouragement fellas. I'll pass this stuff on to Chelsie and the band.
As for the Les Paul player...you guys won't believe me...but he's playing straight out of a pod. The original POD. We were pretty happy with the recorded tone we got considering we weren't using an amp or anything.
The girl's name is Chelsie Boyd...she's available for scheduling through her website I believe. www.chelsieboyd.com
Later!
