Angel came down from heaven yesterday
She stayed with me just long enough to rescue me
And she told me a story yesterday,
About the sweet love between the moon and the deep blue sea
And then she spread her wings high over me
She said she's gonna come back tomorrow
And I said, "Fly on my sweet angel,
Fly on through the sky,
Fly on my sweet angel,
Tomorrow I'm gonna be by your side"
Sure enough this morning came unto me
Silver wings silhouetted against the child's sunrise
And my angel she said unto me,
"Today is the day for you to rise
Take my hand, you're gonna be my man,
You're gonna rise"
And then she took high over yonder
And I said, "Fly on my sweet angel,
Fly on through the sky,
Fly on my sweet angel,
Forever I will be by your side"

Jeff was a stunning guitar player and showman, and by all accounts a really great guy. I have never watched him play when I didn't find myself mesmerized by his amazing style and musicality. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his wife and kids.
I really enjoyed his material when he first hit the scene back in the 80's. RIP Jeff.

I saw Jeff open up for Bonnie Raitt back in the early 90's. What an amazing talent. Never could figure why he wasn't more popular. It was cool when he would be so into a groove he would stand up in the middle of a solo. I don't know what was going on at FOH that night..Jeff's set was KILLER, Bonnies sound was ABYSMAL, he really was a true talent. God bless his family..

I haven't listened to his cd in over 10 years, but I remember watching him play on the tube. He was incredible. 41 - far too young. Prayers and well wishes to his loved ones.
