Awesome looking quilt top. When I first saw the pics, I was a bit hesitant and thought the Cobra S models looked a bit too "metal" for my more traditional tastes, but it grew on me. Now I think it's just a killer looking guitar.

The action is a bit too low so I'll probably get a set up but it really is an amazing guitar. And now for what you've all been waiting for...

A few from the 2005 NAMM show...

And some more pics.... I'll have to shoot my own soon.

hard to know what adjustments have been made since it was new, but always, always, always check neck adjustment before messing with the bridge.
that's a beauty.

Thanks Tom. I'll have a pro do the setup for me.

Funny how things come around. This guitar was made in SoCal, made it's way to Prince Edward Island in Canada and has now come home to SoCal again!

Also, does the "N" in the serial number mean it's a NAMM show guitar? There are tags in the case that state NAMM show on it but I was just curious.

Visually, my Cajun Red to Dark Redburst Cobra S is as stunning of a guitar as they come. It's really, really hard to bring out the beauty of this color in photos.

cheers from KC

that ones a pure stunner. That last pic is the one for me- it looks like the binding is glowing. Beautiful.

Yeah, that pic is probably the most accurate as far as the depth of color. It's on the darker side which I like. Most of the other photos are a bit blown out so the red appears much lighter. The natural binding is really set off nicely from the dark red sides and the edges of the burst.

Amazing axe!

I've actually been pondering trading or selling my drop top for a Cobra S. I think the shorter scale might better suit my stubby fat fingers. :D
