Nickel covered humbuckers on Andersons

Is it true that they were made by Tom Holmes for Anderson or is this an old tall tale?

most were. we only offered them for a short time. tom's were beautiful, perfectly drawn to shape, but crazy expensive. we tried some others in the end and weren't happy with the finish. over all the sound was too different with all of them so we abandoned the covers.
