My Custom Ordered Thorn guitar is about 4-6 weeks (or so) away and will have the M1-M1-M3 pickups and the Anderson switching.
Thanks for the tone report!!! I can't wait!!!

forgot to add
apart from soundijng amazing they look so cool - will try post a piccie....
well done tom
btw can you make bigger surrounds to repplace full size humbuckers?
:D
the above ground hb ring poses a different obsticle. perhaps a flat piece that goes on top of the existing ring. making a 3d ring would be expensive, and out of my league.

hey oscar, I have searched this forum for differences between the M series and p90 pickups, but have found none. can you (or anyone else) compare/contrast M series vs. p90 in a "hollow drop top t / hollow cobra"

the M1 is a fat single coil more airy than p90 and quiet
M3 isnt as out of control - more focused
get em in!

I have the M1 M1 M3 config in my Hollow Cobra S. I can tell you that the M3 is a killer lead PUP. More articulate than a typical humbucker. Yet it seems about as loud as say a Duncan 59 or
57 Classic.
This is now my main guitar BTW.
In fact I believe my local music store has ordered a couple of M equipped guitars as a result of mine.

I'm seriously considering ordering a pickguard from grosh equipped with m1 m1 m3 configuration to drop into my retroclassic. I figure if I can't get a new guitar, this would be the next best thing. after all, it's not like i'm stuck with a crappy guitar. I love my grosh. it could be worse, I could have my old synsonics terminator...
