Hey Tom, what is the best way to remove light surface scratches from a TAG guitar finish? Thanks! AJ

I'm not Tom but I have had amazing luck keeping all of my guitars in (pretty much) scratch free condition using the Fender/Meguiar's instrument care kit.

I think Anderson finishes are pretty tough....scratching on mine is VERY minimal.

the thing to remember about removing scratches, is that you're removing some of the finish. if you do it enough you'll wear through the color. anything that is abrasive enough to remove scratches is wearing off the finish. the fine mcguires stuff is pretty friendly to use and as long as you not de scratching it every week you should be fine.

Chicks dig scars. They show character.
Scratches are guitar scars.
Guys play guitar to get chicks.
Leave the scratches.

(Just kidding)

I used GHS, but I hear good things about the McGuires.

I have both. The McGuiars is o.k. but I don't see the merit in a "Color restorer". Thier car products however are unmatched. GHS Guitar Polish is better in my opinion...
One more thing, anybody thought about a "microfil"? You've seen the eyeglass commercials for this stuff that levels out eyeglass scratches? If its worth anything, I would thinkj it would be just as effective for fine pick swirl (applied correctly that is)..just shakin' the old brain tree;)

Wear your scratches with PRIDE! We baby our guitars too much (I know I do...) Only get rid of the scratches when you're going to sell.

My wife is blonde, 5'8", 130 lbs, a former model with a 34" inseam, (REALLY LONG LEGS).

She has two engineering degrees from Penn State and graduated summa cum laude. She is a gourmet cook and an absolutely incredible mother.

She is my best friend ever.

I am fat and have a few scars.

I am the luckiest man in the world catching this break.

I hear ya, Danno. Count me in as another really lucky guy who married way way up. The only way my wife could be better was if she was made of bacon.

*wait- did I say that out loud?*
