Tonight on DirecTV ch. 101, Chicago was playing in Las Vegas. Their guitarist was playing multiple Tylers and also had a green Drop Top HSS maple neck with a Floyd Rose. Pretty decent performance by the band but only Robert Lamm remains from the original band.
that's a green ash classic, old headstock. he's had that one a real long time.

That's Keith Howland with the green Anderson. He is shown playing it quite a bit on a DVD where they are playing with Earth Wind & Fire live at the Greek(recorded in 2005) - excellent concert DVD! The maple board of his green Anderson classic has some major wear on it and looks really cool!
Along with Lamm, the horns are also original members.

The Horns even get subs now too. They are definitely the shadow of a once great band. Speaking as a former die-hard, its hard to see and hear the decline; however, glad they can still draw and get gigs. I still love the pre 90's stuff though..

So Casper.... are you going to have one of those "vests" on Saturday at our Christmas dance?

No, Noah.
I assure you, our Christmas wardrobe is far less comfortable than Mr. Howland is wearing...As far as taste, well, I don't know about that either.
Wayne Newton I've heard, is jealous....;)

I love chicago! I wish Terry was still around. I can't even imagine the great music he would have created.

I had an Anderson sighting this afternoon
I walked into my local dealer and came DANGEROUSLY close to walking out with Andy #5. Now that I think about it I am kinda glad I didnt cause I want a Green classic.

Terry was one of a kind, to hear him live must have been incredible. I didn;t become a Chi freak until 1980 and Chris Pinnick was with them. I must have seen them over 40 times, traveling many miles to catch them. I can't imagine how scary good Terry would have been today. He had a natural tone in his hands that didn't need any of the grease we all use today.
Chicago has been fortunate to have awesome players that were Terry fans and have done his work justice. Would love to know whatever happened to his classic white tele. It would be a VERY cool thing for Tom to build an Anderson Terry Kath tribute like he did with the George Harrison guitar.
Whaddya think Tom?

Signed!! ^^^^
i did see him play at the greek theater in LA. yes i'm that old. it was a pretty great show back in those days. he played a tele with a neck humbucker through an acoustic 150 amp:eek: that would be a challenging combo for any player, but he sounded great.

I have some video of the old days...sheesh, it looks like his fingers hardly moved........
The new box set supposedly has some old concert footage froim the salad days, would love to see it, but don't want to spend the bread for music I already own..
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does anyone know what the specs of his old Anderson are ?
Its a lovely sounding guitar.
if you mean the green one, ash body, maple even taper that i V'd, so a tiny V.
St's and an H2+ originally, and i think SA's and h2+ now. and a floyd.
Great to see a well played guitar instead of a museum piece :D
