Not a Cobra-S or a Hollow Cobra. Just a Cobra. Would like something from 1996 if possible.

I dont have one but I must ask: why 1996?

I had a 96 Cobra . Bought it brand new in 1996. Had it for 11 years. It's my only point of referene. I have to admit thought, I've not played any new Cobras. I did play some 2007 drop tops. Not really doing back flips over those.
The scale and the profile of the Cobra is ...well...was... perfect for me.
There are only a handful of dealers in NYC who carry TAs and none of them have any new Cobra's on the walls for me to try.

You may want to post the serial number of the guitar you are trying to 'replicate'. The neck profile of your old Cobra may not be the same as the neck profile of one someone else has. From the serial number you can look up the original profile and request that exact one.
I love my Drop Top, but I'm pretty sure if I found another one identical in every way except it had a fat neck instead of the thin TA standard, then I wouldn't be so happy. ;)
also, we can post the date as stolen on the search on our site. more than 1 guitar has been recovered as a result of that.
