Hi,
I searched here & found a thread that relates to a problem I have.
My high E string catches on the neck pickup when I'm really laying into it.
The thread I found mentioned that there is a fix for this that involves sending in either the guitar or just the pickup. How much does this cost?
Thanks,
Dan
sending the pickup alone is much cheaper than sending the whole guitar. which model pickup is it? we don't charge for the mod.

cool! The pick model is SD1. Any guess at all on what turnaround might be?
Thanks again.
it will take us a day or 2 to do it.

great, I'll try to get it in the mail tomorrow. Do I need to reference anything?
no, just say you need the string guard. is the pickup in a pg or is it a rear rout body?

its in a pickguard (it's a Classic).
I was going to send it to you today.
When I remove the pickup, how long would you recommend leaving the wires? Or should I send the whole pick guard assembly?

One of Steve Vai's guitars suffers from this. His solution was to place a piece of tape from the bottom of the neck pup to the pickguard. However it doesn't look very good.
got your pickguard, do you really mean you're catching the bridge pickup? i've only ever seen neck pickup snagging strings.

Sorry, a typo on my part. Bruce emailed me last night. You're right, it is the neck pickup thats snagging strings.

Great, thanks for taking care of that!
I've had to go back to my Strat while I've been without my TA. It's really reminded me what a better guitar the TA is in every way.
