I have a TA classic (07-08-05A) with vintage trem bridge. The Whammy bar keeps falling out! I look down there during a song to reach for it and its on the stage floor. Anyone else have this problem? Any cures for it?

Also, I wonder if the vintage bridge I have on my new Cobra special would fit in place of the bridge on my classic as I think I like the way the whammy bar fits in a little better. Maybe Tom could comment on this?

I also notice simething funny abouyt whammy bar usage that I cannot figure out (here is where I look silly to all you experts): It seems that when I use the whammy vbar my guitar starts to sound a little muffled and I then discover that the tone know has been turned down way low. Is there something about the whammy-ing that bumps into the tone knob? Anyone else had this happen, or, am I just cracking-up? ;-) I kind of wish sometimes that the tone pot had a lot more friction so it would not get easily turned.

there is, or should be a tension screw for the arm tension. on that bridge, it is located right under the baseplate on the arm end of the block.
with the arm in lower the pitch of the strings.
look under the baseplate and the screw should be visible on the end of the block. it uses a 1.5mm wrench, smae as the saddles. sometime the screw does fall out. if that's the case, let me know and i'll send you a spare.
as for the tone control, perhaps the flopping arm is contributing as i've not heard that problem before.

Hi Tom,
Thanks, I took a look and indeed the screw is missing. So I called the TA phone number and talked to Roy and he is going to send me one. Thank you!

My Best,
Paul
