Need help laying out the pedalboard if anyone is up to it. All suggestions appreciated. I am running a Mesa Rectoverb combo w/parallel effects loop.
Here are the pedals in their current order.

Out front:
Planet Waves chromatic tuner stomp box (true bypass)
Budda Wah pedal (true bypass)
EH LPB1 line boost
BBE Boosta Grande (true bypass)
Boss AC2 Acoustic Simulator
Carl Martin compressor/limiter (true bypass)
ProCo Rat w/Keely 3 way mod
Ibanez TS9 w/Keely mod plus (improved bypass)

Through the Loop:
Boss CE3 Chorus (vintage MIJ)
Nobles PHD Analog Phaser
Boss BF2 Flanger
Boss DD20 Delay

Future pedals:
Volume
Voodoo Labs Commander for multiple combinations through a single switch (that or tap dance lessons)

Thanks for any input,

Brad

Ok, I'll take a shot, but first a few things to remember, the bottom line is if you like what you hear that's the most important thing. Some pedals play better with others, so don't be afraid to experiment. I run my time based effects through the loop, ie chours, delay, reverb and modulation. Hitting the front of the amp my signal is is first my tuner, then into my compressor, then into my wah, (some like to go into the wah then compressor if they use one) from there, into a signal boost (this could be a clean boost or distortion or both) then into the input of my amp, my volume pedal is through the loop so I can still have the sound I want and use the volume pedal as a master volume. Make sure you have a good stable power supply and use good cable, I try to make sure that if a signal cable crosses a power supply that it do so at a 90 degree angle, I've read that running them parallel can cause them to pick up RF. I'm not an expert at these things, but I'm very happy with the two boards that I've set up. Others can chime in, there's a wealth of good advise and great players on this forum...experiment and enjoy!!!

Here is my order:
Rivera Chubster 40 amp
Fulltone Clyde Wah
Barber Tone Press
Barber LTD
Barber Direct Drive
Peterson Strobostomp II Tuner
LOOP for
Meistersinger Chorus
DD3 Delay
Power Pedal II supply

Most of my stuff is true bypass except for the DD3. I have it it all together on a Pedaltrain board. I have no problem with this setup and everything interacts well. I like the wah in front of everything in case I want to have spatial stuff going on with it. Master input and output go to my ULX wireless. Just my .02

What has already been said is essentially how it should work. One thing that I like to do at times is run my boost in front of my wah...it can get you some pretty cool, "exagerrated" wah tones. Think of the "wah sweeps" that Randy Rhoads does at the end of "I Don't Know" as one example.
