Super clean near mint! 05-10-03A
Has 1 "bb" size indention not breaking finish about 1" below volume pot, hardly noticeable.
Has 1 faint indention on the headstock near tuning post, very faint.

Is $2000.00 fair?

Beautiful guitar...

I am a bit baffled by the mini-switch on a single-coil guitar. Does it actually do stuff in positions 1 and 2, i.e. put pickup1 and pickup2 into different alignment when you hit it? i.e. 1+2 in series, v. 1+2 in parallel?

Similar question for positions 1, 2, 4, when knob is pulled...?

And then, position 2 + pull = all 3 pickups, correct?

Last question: how does it look with the pickguard removed?

Thanks

the pickups are stacks, so the miniswitch is a master splitter. the pushpull adds the bridge pu to the neck, and neck and middle positions on the 5 way.
it's not made to have the pg off. you would see the universal route.

Tom, thanks for your help on this one.

Scofieldkid, thanks for your comments and questions.

As Tom said the pickups are stacked and hum canceling, the tone control is a pull switch.

The combination of the mini splitter and the pull switch gives you 13 different tone selections (Correction it's 14), that I've found.

Splitter Down = lower output, quiet hum canceling, pull functions only when rhythm (or rhythm/middle) pickup is selected, that's 7 different sounds.

Splitter Up = boosted output with enhanced clarity, hum on all positions except bridge/middle combo, pull switch kills hum on the rhythm and middle/rhythm combinations. that's 7.

This guitar also has a Fishman Powerbridge which functions via a stereo Y cable, giving you unique hybrid electric/acoustic sounds.

Takes a little getting used too, but a very versatile guitar!

Thanks again,
Robert

Ah, so like this:

5-Way Switch produces:

1. Neck
2. Neck+Middle
3. Middle
4. Middle+Bridge
5. Bridge

Push/Pull produces:

6. (5-way 1) Neck + Bridge
7. (5-way 2) Neck + Middle + Bridge

Mini-split produces:

8. (5-way 1) Neck split/series
9. (5-way 2) Neck + Middle split/series
10. (5-way 3) Middle split/series
11. (5-way 4) Middle + Bridge split/series

Push/Pull + Mini produces:

12 (5-way 1)Neck + Bridge split/series
13 (5-way 2)Neck + Middle + Brdige split/series

You got it! But one correction.
8. - 11. are correct but, we need to include the (5-way 5).
It would be... 12.(5-way 5) Bridge split/series

Then...

Push/Pull + Mini produces:
13. (5-way 1)Neck + Bridge split/series
14. (5-way 2)Neck + Middle + Brdige split/series

So it's actually 14 tone selections! Sorry an oversight in my original description.

Urp. I thought it was the case that position #5 on the 5-way was special, and that it always put you in series on the bridge only. (So I think the 13 total may have been correct. I don't know. That's just the impression I got from reference link: http://www.andersonguitars.com/b5.html )

This would make some of the positions pretty interesting, if #5 was bridge series and and you had neck or middle in humbucking, seems like you could get some pretty cool mixes like that. Yes? No?

I just hooked up the guitar and went through all the combinations, there are 14.

To my ears the pull switch has almost no effect regarding tone or boost, but it produces a softening effect. It does kill the hum on the rhythm and rhythm/middle combinations when the mini splitter is up.

There you have it for better or worse.

This guitar and 2 others I have will be listed on Ebay tonite, so check'em out.
