love the rmc. i have the regular one that they say isn't great for humbuckers, but i love it. not a whacka wacka wah, but amazing vocal character.

+1 on the rmc, the fulltone delux is also good but a bit pricey. The budda wah is also good

I'm using the RMC 6 Wheels Of Fire these days! I also have the RMC 3. With the RMC 3 you can get the sounds of all the RMC models by way of making adjustments on the inside of the unit!...... I'm really digging the sound of the 6 right now!

I like the Clyde Deluxe. Three very good and useable sounds.

I agree with Tom about the RMC he uses. Not really a "whacka" type, but it will likely cut the mix better and sound that way in the room.

I use a RMC Wizard wah. I do recommend it as it sound really good, but I won't recommend it before any of the other models or Fulltone.

I've been using the RMC3 for about 6-7 years now and would never go back to anything else. Simply amazing!!

With tone and oneness, Mike

Humble opinion, the budda smokes the clyde. I had the standard clyde, and it's not really the typical wah sound. the budda is vox without the shrill high end two down. Nice wah, can be a bit noisy with weird AC, but with the pedal power, quiet as a mouse, or as much as any wah can be. Plus, the clyde is huge!!

I have been paging through the pedalboards of various members notice some are still using Vox

I use a Fulltone Std. Clyde, but I run my guitar signal buffered through it (which, apparantly, you're not supposed to do), but I like what it does. It keeps the smoothness in the mids, but seems to open up the bandwidth and sweep of the Clyde. So, I love it, but it may not be to everyone's taste. Built like a tank and the feel is great.

I've been playing RMC wahs for about 4 years. About 2 years ago, I upgraded to the RMC-3 w/ Halo inductor. Recently, Teese started putting some fantastic fuzz friendly circuitry in his wahs (I hear no tonal change the wah) and now uses the Halo inductor in all models. You can tune the RMC-3 to anything (it'll nail the Picture Wah and Wheels of Fire wah sounds exactly plus do a million other tones).

In my view, if you couldn't tune it, it would still be one of the top wahs you could buy. When you add the tunability, there's just no reason to buy anything else. If you don't like the price, start saving. Even though it's currently less expensive than it's ever been, $260 is still a lot of cash (although my guess is that if you're an Anderson guitar fan, you're used to saving your money for big purchases).

I see that there is a RMC 4 on Ebay but no such listing on the site .I am just going to it from a dealer still not sure which model probably the Picture Wah ...I am really not a fiddler/tweaker ......

The Picture Wah is my favorite wah sound. I set my RMC-3 to that setting (with just slightly increased mids and Q). So if you're getting a non-tweakable wah, that's the one for the most classic tones. I've had mine set to that ever since I upgraded from my RMC-1 Custom (it had the halo inductor, but was voiced to sound like the RMC-3's factory setting - that's a tone unique to Teese wahs, but one I eventually got tired of).

But even if you're not a tweaker, do you ever get tired of the way a pedal sounds? Then you sell it and buy something new (also known as GAS)? I'm bad about that. So with my RMC-3, even though I probably could have just bought the Picture Wah, I've now got the only wah I'll ever need (except I really like Teese's new blue cases ... gotta stop!) because if I get tired of the way it sounds, I don't need to buy another one, just tweak the one I've got.
