I'm looking for an Anderson or Suhr guitar with (mostly) these specs:
• 1 5/8" nut width (NO 1 11/16" nut widths please)
• prefere medium to larger necks (no slim necks please)
• rosewood fingerboard preferred, but will consider all maple neck only with ash body
• prefer 10" radius, but will go with Anderson's 12" radius
• body wood (in order of preference) basswood, alder, ash (ONLY with maple neck)
• prefer medium to jumbo stainless steel frets, but will consider any guitar provided the frets are in reasonably good condition (or seller will adjust price comensurate with new fret job)
• truss rod MUST WORK, and neck must be straight, without warps - no exceptions
• flame maple, walnut or koa top is fine, not crazy about quilt, but will consider all grained woods
• I prefer stained woods over painted woods
• HSS or HSH pickup configuration preferred, but may go with SSS depending on the particular guitar
• HSS or HSH pickups with splitable bridge pickup is a big plus
• Conventional 5 way switch preferred over Switcheroo system
• vintage trem or hardtail (NO Floyd Rose trems)
If you have an Anderson for sale, please provide the serial number, and be able to provide clear, detailed photos. I expect signs of wear on used gear, but just need to be aware before I committ to buying. Also, please be upfront about ANY modifications.
Ready to buy, willing to wait for the right guitar. I can pay via PayPal or money order. Have great references. 1991 (?) Les Paul '57 reissue gold top available for trade considerations.
