Hey tom, I'm wanting to beef up my bridge pickup, and still get a nice strat type tone out of it, so I'm thinking of a splitable humbucker. Would I need to rout out the guitar, if so, I don't wanna mess with it, but if not, what would you recommend? I want a nice fat lead tone, but be able to get the nice chimey clean tones I love from the Va series pickups.
Thanks, much appreciated,
Kurt

if single coil and humbucking tones are equally important, i'd do an H2. if you are more comfortable with a vintagey humbucker, the HO1+ would be a nice match, but the split sound will suffer.

Hey Tom, so, can I just get a new pickguard, and drop one in, or do I need to route out the body? Thanks, and I assume I could get all I needed for parts from Tag?
Thanks again,
Kurt

the body is already routed, you just need a pickguard and a little rewire.
