Why is it that the Cajun Magenta and the Cajun Red colors are not applied to the headstock, as the only option for a drop top with these colors is black or natural.

And if a Pro Am model in swamp ash or mahagony was ordered could it be ordered in either Cajun Magenta or Cajun Red, just wondering if there was something different about these two colors as compared to the other translucent colors that are offered.

Thanks.

the cajun colors and a few others rely on the figure of the wood to give their accent colors. the cajuns are stained black first, then sanded back and then stained the other color. the black stays in the softest part of the wood but is removed from where the wood is harder. since the maple for the neck is solid straight grained wood, ther is no figure for the black to go into. other colors like tiger eye are also a two step staining process. they rely on the natural grain of the wood for the color difference.
the other transparent colors are either stained on the wood as one color, or are shot on in the case of non figured maple, like ash, alder, basswood, and mahogany.
