I think I've fallen for the Tobacco Fade finish, just haven't decided what I want to do as far as which model(Drop Top, Drop Top Classic).

Anyway, my question is about the finish. Is it me, or is the finish on the guitars with binding a little lighter? I've loved all of the ones that I've seen that have no binding with this finish, but the ones with binding appear to be a little lighter? Is it just me, or is the process a little different, i.e., a slightly lighter stain that won't bleed through the tape for the binding? Also, the ones that I really love seem to have the quilt top as opposed to the flame, and that ususally doesn't matter to me. Is it just me?

same process.i think the light binding makes it look lighter. also when shooting them i think i tend to go around once ,ore on the non bound ones to get the color matching on the edge radius. the paint wants to run away from the edges.

So theres no difference in the finish if you shoot it once or twice? I would think so? Am I not understanding you correctly?

O.K., placing "dunce" cap on!:o
