Anyone have experience with this PUP? I play in a classic rock cover band and I'm curious how this pu would sound in this context.

I have it in all my Andersons that I use for live performance.
I love it becuase as a full humbucker it sounds and acts perfect for anything I ask of it, and as a single coil it's huge while maintaining classic tones.
No sacrifice on all fronts.

I have one in my alder backed dt classic, and it runs a tad too hot for me. I have the h2+ in all my other andys (except the alder classic) and find it to be just enough... not too much, not too little.
I play mainly rock, hard rock, neo classical type stuff.

Any thoughts/experience about how it would "perform" in a mahogany/maple guitar?

It seems to react best in that combination for me.

I use the H3 in all my guitars (Bridge) and play in a classic rock cover band.... Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Bad Company. It works great.
