I was just wondering, I've been reading guitarist magazine for a few years now and every month they have a for sale section in the back. I always have a read through to see if any interesting amps or effects are for sale. anyway I realised the other day that I've seen loads of prs guitars for sale that have been signed by prs but never a signed tag guitar. are these a rarity or just not put up for sale as they are so good
I think the correct answer is that Tom spends his time around the shop making sure the guitars are always up to his incredible standards, rather than hosting seminars.
And hanging out here, of course.
I did, however, get Mr. Smith to sign the backplate of my Singlecut at one of the aforementioned seminars. :)
i used to sign headstocks with some regularity when requested. but then they started showing up for sale with words like extra special cause tom did special magic to this one, which was not true. so i don't do that anymore. i do put my name in the serial number of the ones i build for myself, like 02-tom-07. again, that doesn't mean i did everything on it, but i probably wanted to try something different or was testing out something new. they're usually not extra fancy as you can tell buy my last picture.
