Hi Guys,
Im wondering what kind of tone difference your rosewood neck makes to the overall sound of the guitar. Also do you find them pretty stable? I dont think rosewood is as hard as maple but dont really know. Is it similar in feel to the cobra neck (mohogany)?

I've got the first one Anderson did, a PRS McCarty Rosewood, and a Thorn Artisan Master Rosewood #25 ( #72 will be a semi-hollow with f-holes, trem, piezos, and a rosewood neck) I love the sound and feel of the unfinished necks...the satin finish on my Anderson is pretty darn close too! Tonally they seem a little RICHER with an extended bass and treble response along with a bit more sustain. :D

Both of my Cobras have a solid rosewood neck.

and

To me, they are brighter than standard Cobras. The neck plays faster and the feel I would equate to playing on ebony.

I've got a rossewood neck Cobra on order. At Namm I asked Tom
about Brazilian and he said it would be to heasdstock heavy, and that you need to be careful with even the East Indian RW too. He also commented that RW necks work especially well on hollow guitars, which might be the reason he made the weight comment...
