Crack in finish at new neck joint

Has anyone had a TAG with the new two bolt necks ever develope a crack in the the finish? If there is a crack in the corner how would you know if the crack is just in the finish or if the wood is actually cracking?

have seen a couple, like we used to see them with the old style. it takes quite a whack to do it, but it can happen. have only seen one that was broken wood, but it got whacked hard enough to bend the tuner and put a pretty big gash in the neck.

should I be concerned about buying a used guitar with a crack like this?

i would not be, but i'm not nearly as picky about cosmetics on my own guitars as most of you are. even if the wood were cracked, it would be a simple repair if finish weren't involved. remove the neck and run some thin super glue in the crack from inside the pocket.
