Just a cautionary note. While the pictures are certainly legit, I have a hard time trusting a seller with no feedback who just registered in December and has a reserve of $800. C'mon, $800 for a 7-string drop top???????
i'll check on monday to see who if anyone registered the guitar. we only get registrations for about 1/3 of the guitars we make.

isnt 1 11/16ths a little small for a 7 string?
Tom, why did you guys stop making them? Demand? tooling changes? There's obviously some kind of demand, because every one i've seen for sale, has gone for more than what it went for orginally sold.

that's a goof on the width. the string spacing was the same as a 1 11/16 neck, just one wider.
why we stopped? i wasn't thrilled with the hardware available and there didn't really seem to be a market for an upscale 7 string. my guess is that there are a few people that would buy them, but i really couldn't get into them personally. i didn't know what to do with the extra string. i'm a pretty simple guy, so that extra string really through me. i also think that if the low tuning thing is the atraction, a longer scale does it so much better. so for me the baritom does that. the hardware issue is partly that the bridges don't allow for a fat enough low E string, which seems in order to me.
as far as their high resale, we did only make a dozen or so, so they are rare if that's what you're after.

I dig the pickup routes. ;)
got me there. there were no rings available for 7strings, so we made the pickups with bottom plates that would fit a rout better.

It's gone. Someone must've made him an offer he couldn't back away from. Anyone here walk away with it?

I'll be. It was legit. I'm sitting down to a nice plate full of my words right now. Yummy.
