Ive heard of folks bringing their guitars to the Anderson
Shop in Newbury Park for check ups or pick up modifications.

Has anyone been fortunate to tour the shop to see
an ordered guitar in process or just check out
the mfg process in general?

Are they "informally" offered by request or appointment?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply! I was going to be
in the Solvang/Santa Barbara area on Friday, MARCH 12.

I would drive the extra ~hour + if I may
trouble you and your crew to accomodate me with a brief
tour :)

thanks,
enrico

Hi Tom,

Wanted to confirm if the informal tour offer of your
factory is still open?

I was planning on arriving in the Newbury Park area
@ ~1:30 PM on 12-MAR. ( Will be leaving the
SF bay area around 8:00am)

Looking forward to seeing the birthplace of my cobra and hollow T :)

regards,
enrico

So e,

Will we be getting the review of the grand tour?

The big question....is Roy as strange in person as he is on the phone?:D

Hope you had a great time!

having grown up with Roy, im going to have to say that he is stranger in person than over the phone.

I attended an Anderson Tone Seminar at MassStreet Music (Lawrence KS) hosted by Roy a couple years back. What a fabulous time with a wonderful educator, humorist, guitarist, salesperson, Anderholic, storyteller, etc. His fun and engaging personality made for a very fun evening. Roy is "good people."

BTW - I look forward every week to the GOTW, the text just as much as the guitar pic!

With tone and oneness, Mike.

Son Of Anderson,

I am sure you have grown up, but let's face it - Roy will NEVER grow up!!!:D :D But then again he wouldn't be much fun if he did!

Tom,

Much MAHALOS for your time and being the gracious
host for the informative factory tour!

It was a great pleasure to see the process steps
with the manufacture of your fine guitars
and opportunity to meet you and some of
your team members.

Just got back home from the Solvang ride- the weather
was awesome which made for an enjoyable ride despite
suffering a bit around mile 75-90 due to lack of base
training yet this year.

As soon as I get some rest, I hope to post the photos
tomorrow of the memorable experience at your shop.

BTW- it was the weekend for me to run into luthiers
extrordinaire- First you on FRI and then as we were walking
around Solvang this afternoon, I ran into the builder of my acoustic guitar - Kevin Ryan-(his wife also did the ride!)

He noticed the Anderson Tee I was wearing and he mentioned having a burgandy colored one. He had only compliments
of your product and your pleasant persona from the occasional
encounters at some of the music shows.

Many thanks again!

Enrico,

Maybe we can get Tom to sponser the TAG Bicycle Racing Team! We might even be able to get Lance to jump teams.:D

I would love to visit the TAG facility, but being an East Coaster I will have to wait until I need to visit a customer on the other coast.

I'm glad to hear you had a great time!

Hi Stan,

If anything, we could email Lance and suggest that he
pick up a few Andersons for Sheryl;) Im sure she would
love them!

One of the treats of the tour was the opportunity to
see your drop top koa in the shop for the new neck?

That is one special guitar- absolutely one of the nicest koa tops
Ive ever seen! :D
