Here are a few that have graced my home during my search for the Holy Grail . . . Although I couldn't afford to keep them, they all found good homes. It seems that you can't sell an Anderson without making a new friend.
The Cobra in Atlantic Storm went to Bob Seger just prior to his tour last fall. ( I've been trying to find a photo of him playing it.) What a pleasure owning each of them for even a little while!

I don't know if I'll ever be able to sell any of my andersons, even to buy a new one. Do you guys that have sold them typically end up missing the old ones? I'd prefer to have a 2 HB atom instead of M/M/H and I'd like a bigsby, but I can't bring myself to sell the one that I have to do it.

Gary, I really prefer maple necks overall because they just feel better to me but I sure wished I had the HSS DT back. The neck was African rosewood and it sounded really nice.

Gary,
When I have a need to replace a TAG with a different one, I go into financial stealth mode ( to avoid divorce ) and buy the new addition before selling the other one. This allows a side by side comparison to be sure the new one better fits my needs, and thus eases the inevitable seperation anxiety.
best regards,

Actually, Gary, I find myself wanting new inspiration all the time. Everything has a season, I suppose. I've often wanted to be the guy who can be identified by his guitar, like Zakk Wylde or EVH, but I think I more commonly just want something different that inspires a dormant part of creativity.
Here are some of the ones who've enjoyed a season at Casa de Guitarzan.

The one that's missing between the HDTC and the Cobra Special is a butterscotch HTC w/ M's that was really great.
The sad thing is that about a week ago, I started getting the rumblings for another Anderson (to be honest, I think it was Tom's GOTW Atom with a Bigsby), I'm just not sure what to get. I've got a couple of strats that do the strat thing, I have a T5 that can get big electric Les Paul tones, I have a Nashville Tele that'll do that stuff. So I'm not sure what need I have for another guitar. BUT, I miss the ease of playing an Anderson... So I've been casually searching for another one all week long. (sorry, ToneLounge... does this mean I've fallen off the wagon?)

Thx Mike, I love pearloid pickguards too. :D
The Wilkinson pictured on the one Classic is the older VS100 model. Last year I had Bruce install the newer VG300 model on the guitar and I don't really like the sound of that bridge, it has longer bent saddles and sounds very pingy. I'm actually gonna drop off the guitar to Bruce soon so that he can put back the VS100 model, that one has solid saddles and sounds much warmer than the VG300. I know that Suhr and Tyler use the VG300 bridge on many of their guitars and most people either love or hate that bridge.

I don't mind a pickup in the middle physically, I just haven't really bonded with the M's. I'm wondering if the kickback circuit would make me like the M's more. Hmmmm. . . .
Is there anything else that you guys can make that'll fit in an M1 route? A little P90 maybe?

I need to clarify, I am totally satisfied with the functionality of the M/M/H in my Atom. It's my "go to" guitar. Quack/squawk of a tele all the way to the punch that only a short scale/Mahog body can deliver. Perfection. M's rule.
BUT for my Cobra's, H/H only!:D
YMMV.

no that is an original sandimas neck and plate (early 80's). it started out life as a yellow and black vh model a friend bought from musicians friend way back when they sold charvels. I nagged at him for years to sell it to me, well i lost touch with him over the years, then he had stripped the paint and had some dumb paint job on it, and over the years since i had a new body (charvel specs) made from Lee at GMW and restored it to it's former glory :) It has one of those small stubby 3 way switches (like in the petrucci models) and is wired like the petrucci model to split to the inside coils in the middle.. good stuff...
you know that is my first tag (purple hdt), and probably the best sounding one, i doubt it'll ever leave, but you are first on the list :)
Man i had done tubes for years, have owned marshalls, laneys, and just about every boogie ever made. I still have my old school boogie metal grille 4x12 cabs. I really got sick of re-tubing, and I love the variety of tones i get from the vetta, get sick of something, dial something else up, is it tubes? no, do i care? no.. close enough for modern jazz ;) hehe

no that is an original sandimas neck and plate (early 80's). it started out life as a yellow and black vh model a friend bought from musicians friend way back when they sold charvels.
VH stripes?!?!? Y'know that those early 80's paint jobs are fetching $4-5k or more, depending on the condition.....
Lee Garver does great work though. Sweet, either way!

retubing, biasing, matching, microphonics, loss of pwr, unwanted noise, expense of NOS and HTF valves.......wait, why are tubes so wonderful again? :p I hear ya Dave!;)

I'll play. Lot's of nice Andy's floating around.
1. Hollow T Classic Contoured
http://bonito.sbs.arizona.edu/bonito/pics/guitars/current_guitars/andy.jpg
Affectionately named "No. 1" because it is. I've owned a lot of guitars but this one is hands down the best of the bunch.
2. T Classic Contoured
http://bonito.sbs.arizona.edu/bonito/pics/guitars/current_guitars/blue_andy.jpg
Affectionately named "Spartacus" because a previous owner put that on the guitar case. (Mark, was that you?) Great guitar, although I wish it were sunburst... I had the original front pickup (the one pictured here) replaced with a TD-0 and a push-pull pot controls single/hb modes--much better.
I should clean my guitars...

looks like a honey burst, but it could be a tobacco fade lit bright.

I think many of us will be disappointed when we see Tom's axe's. I bet they are very simple and plain. A lot of time, the ugliest are the best sounding woods, and not the fanciest maple tops etc. It's all about the resonance of the woods.
I could be wrong...

I own a small shop: I promise that I will rope off, without exception, a totally, out of contact; vacation for next year. Solid 2 weeks. I say it, but if I don't commit to it 6 months in advance, I will start to build up the reasons why I should wait awhile, to take care of all these things, that I need to take care of. If the plan is strong, the rest will work itself out.:) :)
well, here you go. i had a little trouble with the camera... no really, i didn't notice the knob had turned to Tv, whatever that means, and the pups wanted to be in the piture. i'll have to try again.

Someday soon you'll come home and find those big dogs carrying the guitars in their mouths like a bone.
Either that or there will be a fresh mound of dirt in the backyard and you'll wonder why you can't find a certain guitar.;)
Is the maple neck a T style?

It's obvious the wine was consumed 1 hour prior to the photograph being taken. ;)

Photos of anderson guitars are valuable in a pride sort of way
Photos of dogs are valuable in a 'warm fuzzy' kind of way
Photos of Anderson guitars and one dog sniffing another dog's sniffing another dog's bum?
Priceless
