Guys....good eye candy. It's a Private Stock photo extravaganza. If you're into PRS guitars (or even if not!), there are some serious beauties there.

Like Jo said...."grab some popcorn". :D

Enjoy!

I know a lot of guys love that stuff, but to me, it's just a bit much. I think that even some of the über-quilty stuff that TAG does is almost crossing the line. Some of the finishes and colors in the PRS PS line just seem too cartoonish and inorganic. Quilts and flames can definitely be beautiful, but I just like 'em a little more understated than what is in that thread.

I mean, who would want to play this atrocity?

Sorry, rant over!

funny, at a namm show i was talking to paul. i picked up a particularly fancy guitar at the booth and was surprised at how heavy it was. i sort of gave the look to paul. he said, that's a doctor /lawyer guitar, not a player.
that's not a slam at anyone, it's just that different things are important to different people. the fancy stuff isn't for me personally either but we certainly do some of it. i'm not sure who would like that thing above, it crosses so many lines:o

A lot of these are WAY over the top....my goodness. Mine is pretty basic, by PS standards, but I had an early one.....before people could concoct some of the ideas they had. I have seen countless TA's that their tops are of the same quality of the PS's.

I mean....crap, look at this!

And things have changed a good bit in their PS program. When I got mine, I picked the top and the neck, talked to Joe Naggs at the factory several times throughout. I don't believe that is the case these days....you just keep your fingers crossed. It was a nice, but pricey experience. There's a feeling you get when you see stuff like this that really gets you going:

I wouldn't do it again though. At the time, I had waaaay too many guitars and wanted to sell a bunch of them and get something monumental. As it turns out, I'm not so crazy about the P90s - they aren't bad, but boy - I'd love to drop some M's into it. But I don't use it much anymore - I'm strictly a TA guy with a strat sneaking in from time to time. ;)
