I was flying with my band last weekend and had to check my Crowdster (I couldn't carry it on because Southwest doesn't have the space...). The metal clasp in the middle of my case got bent and the spring loaded clasp (I don't know how else to describe) was also broken in the process. This kind of stuff drives me nuts!

So, I'm wondering, are there any other cases that will be comporable to the one that came with my Crowdster? Also, does anyone know where I could buy a flight case for my Crowdster? I'm not sure if I want to go this route but I'm considering it.

I'm an acoustic only player so I'm not sure what other electric body style is comporable. Would it fit in a Strat or Tele case like this one http://picasaweb.google.com/trpullen/FenderMoldedCase

i don't know of any other hard cases that would fit. we just recently got our new cases for the crowdster which are shaped cases like the atom case. very nice and smaller to handle. not sure if the airlines would allow them or not as they are almost 16" wide. a gig bag is usually a safe bet on plane, but not guarenteed. calton cases are the best for flying, but they are expensive.
