F space pickup ??

I'm going to change my H3 bucker (bridge) in my drop top classic,do i have to make sure the replacement (probably lollar imperial) is F spaced ? or just stock

Actually how important is this ? what is the string spacing of my DTC

hard to say. our pickups have a really broad magnetic field and are a wider spacing to start with. i have heard standard gibson spacing be weak on the high E. string spacing at the bridge has been 2.075" for a number of years. floyds and our old screw in arm trem are 2.125"

My DTC is a late 99 almost 2000,and has the push in trem (non floyd) so i guess it's 2.075.

i'll check the pickups spacing.

if he offers the wider spacing it would probably be a good idea.
