Hey Tom,
In terms of guitar stands and TA guitars: Is it better to have the guitar hang by its neck (all weight hanging by neck) or, have the bottom end of the guitar (i.e., where the two strap posts are) rest on the stand with the neck merely supported above so it doesn't fall over (i.e., all the weight on the bottom of the guitar body)???
Thanks
Paul
as far as the guitar goes, i don't think either one puts any undo stress on anything. i've not used the hanging ones to be able to comment on stability being better with one over the other.

There's also some that sit on the floor and let you rest the body of the guitar on the stand with NO support for the neck...
BUT BE CAREFUL... These stands are easy for someone to put a guitar down and bang against the metal parts, leaving quite a gash. Thank goodness when it happened to me it was not my Anderson... but a much less expensive guitar. I used to use these, I don't anymore. I just use the kind that support the bottom and the neck.
But ONLY when I'm on stage. Usually I keep these things in their cases when unused.

I like anything from Genesis. Very stable and collapsible.

+1 for Genesis. Try the GS200.
