Best way to clean a dirty pickup

I have a H3 that I want to put in my guitar, but it's a little salt stained and has a tiny amount of corrosion on the pole pieces. What is the best way to get it looking new again?

Lemon oil and a cotton cloth? Fine grade wet and dry sand paper? Scotch bright? Something else?

I don't want to damage the pickup, so I thought I'd check in with the experts here as to how they do it. Any ideas?

i'd start with oil and a cloth. if that's not enough scotch brite with a little oil should do it.

Thanks, the oil and cloth worked really well. I used a little scotchbrite on the one with a bit of corrosion and it worked like a charm!
