I've got a Classic T on the way with an M series in the neck. I'd like to be able to swap between the M and a traditional mini humbucker. It looks like the M has 2 mounting holes on the low E side and 1 on the high E side. I'm wondering why there are 2 holes on the low E side?

I guess I'd have to drill an extra hole on the low E side for the traditional mini hum?

Any info, ideas, or suggestions?

Thanks

the m's were originally made for the atom which has some neck angle, which means the pickup needs to be able to be angled to stay parallel to the strings. the double screws on the bass side allows for that. if you put a covered gibson mini humbucker in there, you will probably have to enlarge the pickup hole as well. you might want to get a blank pickguard to do that.
